HEX SHARDS OF FATE DECK BUILDER UPDATE

Each update will have an appendix of sorts listing all the new elements which appear in that update, and you can check out the Great Index (the second work listed in this series) to browse all of those entries compiled in one place! The plan is for me to barrel through the story itself without interruption, throwing around all my fictionalized creations as though you know exactly what I'm talking about, so the flow isn't bogged down with lots of exposition and explanation. Given that 'Opal and Amethyst' is based on hundreds of entities and mechanics that only I out of everyone in the world know about, here's how things will work. To that end, each chapter published here will likely consist of a handful of rounds together, but I'll be sure to specify that with title headers. With this fanfic I want to stay faithful to the round-based format, but updates of that size probably wouldn't make for very good reading. Now, anyone who's read the Adventures manga knows that any given round isn't particularly long.

Anyhow, I'm not going to retract or alter any of my original plans just because Game Freak beat me to the punch. Great minds think alike, is all I can offer. Take it on my honor, if you'd be so kind, that at some point in the (possibly distant) past all these concepts originated independently with me, even if certain elements might appear cheekily familiar. Inevitably, as official PokГ©mon creators continue to churn out new products, there has been some overlap and similarity between our designs. Many of these ideas, in their original forms at least, predate even Generation VI. This is a fan region, the accumulation of various ideas and chains of thought stretching back years. Allow me to offer a disclaimer before we begin.
